For Dr Richard Deacon, a GP in Rossendale, Lancashire, Monday morning surgery is the best of the week
Day starts with a bang. A flat tyre – but I still manage to change it, get the kids to school, arrive ten minutes behind schedule for surgery, and only keep the first six of my patients waiting until I catch up and finish on time.
Can always cope with whatever is thrown at me on a Monday – it's the rest of the week I struggle with, 160 patients later.
Patients are lovely too on a Monday morning – the 'moaning' gene does not seem to start kicking in until midday Tuesday….
