You are a GP in your first job since finishing your VTS – you have been working in your current practice for six months and it is your turn to present at the monthly clinical meeting. You have been asked to cover the subject of multimorbidity, something that you don’t consider yourself to be an expert on. Keen to impress, you decide to go back to basics and look at what sort of conditions can be included in the NICE definition of ‘the presence of two or more long-term health conditions’.
