This information is sourced from South London and Maudsley NHS Trust:
- Experts recently published guidance in the Association of Child Mental Health (ACAMH) for GPs on helping families manage challenging behaviour during the Covid-19 lockdown
- This guidance for practitioners was then published into 8 easy to view videos for patients and carers with tips to manage difficult behaviour
- A new set of 4 short animations have now been added to this resource including practical tips that parents can use to help children with emotional symptoms
- The videos focussed on emotions are formulated by the Maudsley CAMHS Trauma, Anxiety and Depression clinic
- The tips are based on evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles for the treatment of anxiety and depression in young people
