Video: BMA chair Dr Hamish Meldrum’s New Year message

Dr Hamish Meldrum, chair of the BMA, describes how the Look After The NHS campaign will be taken to the general public, addresses the threat of financial cuts, and looks ahead to the challenges of revalidation.

'The New Year should be a time for new beginnings, for hope and optimism,' he says. 'But I suspect with the financial crisis in the NHS and the uncertainty that a general election brings that there's going to be quite a degree of apprehension too.'
