A man has been arrested following an incident outside a GP surgery in Stoke-on-Trent, which involved a bow and arrow.
Staffordshire Police said that yesterday afternoon it received reports of a man ‘with a bow and arrow’ outside Foden Street Surgery.
Armed police responded to the incident, and the force has since confirmed that no one was injured.
A 26-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and remains in custody while enquiries continue.
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: ‘We have arrested a man following a disturbance outside a GP surgery in Stoke-on-Trent.
‘Just after 4.30pm on Tuesday 30 April we received reports of a man with a bow and arrow on Foden Street, Stoke.
‘Shortly after arriving at the scene armed officers searched the area and recovered a bow. No-one was injured.’
At the end of last year, a different GP surgery in Stoke-on-Trent had to call the police after a member of staff was threatened with a knife.
