As a GP trainer, Dr Kamal Sidhu’s concerns about the failure rate of international graduates taking the MRCGP examination prompted him to sign his name to an open letter to the RCGP, published in Pulse last year.
And In collaboration with other GP trainers in East Durham, Dr Sidhu has since been conducting a not-for-profit CSA preparation course focusing on international graduates.
He says: ‘It has been very disappointing to see that little progress has been achieved on the MRCGP issue and pass rates continue to be strikingly different.’
‘Nevertheless, I am hopeful that in near future, we shall see some positive patterns and changes as all involved appear to be working hard to rectify this.’
