Here in mid-Essex, some GPs are so poorly treated that they must be giving serious consideration to throwing in the towel.
The PCT seems to be the principle culprit – it's stuffed with people who think only of themselves and don't appear to give a damn about patients or healthcare professionals.
I am one of those GPs who thinks that the sooner we get rid of the PCTs and SHAs (and, hopefully, some of the overpaid time-wasters who work for these tawdry organisations) the better it will be for those who do the real work of the NHS – and for those on the receiving end.
