Learning is most effective in a relaxed environment. I had the chance to experience this recently, attending a medical conference in Corvara Italy, combining skiing with medical lectures.
We skied most of the day, followed by a few hours of learning in the afternoon.
Skiing in the sunshine with fantastic snow conditions and exchanging ideas about Peppa Pig on the slopes created such a positive brain environment to make the digestion of knowledge much easier.
Although there was no time for an afternoon nap and I admittedly drifted in and out of consciousness at times while listening to very practically orientated medical subjects as inflammatory arthropathies or dementia amalgamating with dizziness, constipation and hepatitis. I have realised after the course how much information my brain has newly acquired.
I would thoroughly recommend this experience.
